Matthias Gansrigler has released an upgrade to Briefly, his photo/video app for Mac. The software takes photos and optional sound files as input from the user and creates still motion videos from them.

Version 1.5 can sort photos by color, resulting in a nice gradient effect in the video as well as support for more than one soundtrack or soundtrack looping, among other improvements, Gansrigler says. Also, the reduction of black borders can be disabled to show photos in their entirety.

Briefly is available exclusively on the Mac App Store for US$14.99. A 15-day demo can be downloaded from the Eternal Storms Software website (http://eternalstorms.at/).
