LaCie (www.lacie.com) has doubled the capacity of its extremely kool, Fuel wireless drive for the iPad, iPhone or Mac. It’s now available in a 2TB model for US$249.99.

The Fuel provides wireless streaming of up to five devices without an Internet connection. It can create its own Wi-Fi network and act as a hotshot when connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi.

The Fuel is Airplay compatible, scan mirror content on a larger screen. It has a 10-hour battery life and works with the Seagate Media app that offers navigation of media libraries and documents on an iPad, iPhone, Android device, or Amazon Kindle.

Why should you consider getting one? HD movies can monopolize storage space on mobile devices, requiring you to make compromises on what content to synchronize to your device. With the 2TB LaCie Fuel, users can go from 20 movies on a 32GB iPad to over 1,000 movies on the Fuel. This lets you store entire movie collections without sacrificing any of the content you need.

Professionals will also benefit from the larger capacity of the new 2TB LaCie Fuel. As the number of journalists, bloggers and photographers using iPhones to cover events increases, so does the need for higher capacity storage that allows them to collaborate with colleagues and offload content on the go. When they return to the workplace, LaCie Fuel makes it convenient to wirelessly access photos and videos directly from the computer.
