Peter Oppenheimer, Apple’s chief technical offer, in discussing Apple’s financial results for its fiscal 2014 first quarter that ended Dec. 28, 2013, said revenue was up 9% from the year-ago quarter to US$7 billion, thanks to record iPhone and iPad sales and strong Mac sales.

Apple remodeled six stores and opened four new ones. Apple now has 420 brick-and-mortar stores.

With an average of 418 stores, $16.7 million average revenue per store. There were almost 21,000 visitors per store per week last quarter, Oppenheimer said.
