Android may be top dog when it comes to smartphones in China, but Apple is still dominant when it comes to tablets, according to an Analysys International report (http://english.analysys.com.cn) — as noted by “The Next Web” (http://macte.ch/4U6aR). The report says Apple has 71% of tablet sales in the third quarter of 2012, placing it well ahead of Lenova, which is n second place with 10%.

The Google-owned operating system accounts for over 90% of smartphones in China compared to iOS with 4.2%. According to Analysys Samsung holds just 3.5% of the company’s tablet market. Local brand Ereneben has 3.6% and Acer has 3%. Other manufacturers, including Google’s Motorola Mobility, account for the rest.
