LaCie, together with Porsche Design, has announced the P’9223 Slim SSD. This product is the latest extension of the Porsche Design portfolio and the fastest LaCie USB hard drive to date.
It combines USB 3.0 speeds with an optional SSD to maximize performance. Its form factor echoes the aluminum exterior of Apple’s MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
The folks at LaCie say P’9223 Slim is the thinnest 2.5-inch storage device from LaCie yet — 30% thinner than the previous edition. The slim design, sturdy aluminum and SSD technology allow creative professionals to slip the drive in a laptop bag without worrying about accidental drops.
The Porsche Design Slim P’9223 is available in 120GB SSD and 500GB HDD through the LaCie Online Store (www.lacie.com). Pricing starts at US$99.99.
