June winds down with some big events on “The MUG Event Calendar.”
The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will celebrate its 12th anniversary with a special presentation by Apple on Final Cut X, along with the presentations by Steve Martin and Jim Tierney. An Illinois group will discuss jail breaking, and OpenOffice will be the feature topic at a group in Germany. Other topics to be covered this week include Free apps, web browsers, email techniques, cell phone photography and more.

MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware.
