Digital Rebellion has released Pro Versioner for Mac, a tool for automatically backing up your work as you save and keeping track of versions over time. Pro Versioner is a 64-bit upgrade to FCP Versioner that offers a complete user interface overhaul.
The app automatically takes screenshots of your workspace and allows you to annotate backups to help differentiate between them. Versioner keeps all of today’s backups and then whittles them down as time goes on.
Pro Versioner is now app-agnostic. It can be used with any host application including Final Cut Pro 6 and 7, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Pro Versioner is available for US$59 or $19 for users of FCP Versioner. A free 15-day trial is available from the Digital Rebellion web site (http://www.digitalrebellion.com).
