iTunes Digital Copy movie files now show up under the Purchased tab of Apple TV and iOS devices and can be re-downloaded through iCloud, reports “AppleInsider” (http://www.appleinsider.com).

iTunes Digital Copy was introduced in 2008 by Apple and Twentieth Century Fox. Just like movies purchased from the iTunes Store, an iTunes Digital Copy can be transferred to iTunes and then viewed on a Mac, PC, iPod touch, iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.

Once a customer buys the DVD or Blu-ray disc, they insert it into his/her computer, enter a unique code into iTunes and iTunes automatically copies the movie to their iTunes library. Customers own the iTunes Digital Copy of the movie and it has the same viewing options as other iTunes Store video content.
