Mindshapes has announced Tap-A-Tune 1.0, their new children’s educational app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Designed for children ages twp and up, Tap-A-Tune is designed to help improve hand-eye coordination and inspires a child to play music. To play a song, children tap on cute animal characters, each representing a musical note. As they do so, the animals pop up and down on the screen, dancing through the music. Tap-A-Tune 1.0 is regularly US$2.99, but is being offered for $0.99 for a limited time.

Geemzo has released Gravity Cave 1.0, a one-button, pick-up-and-play, casual gaming title for iOS devices and Facebook. In the free game, Fluff, a little round shaped alien, got lost in a dark and scary cave when he was exploring one of the forgotten planets. Players have to find the exit and escape from the dark and scary caves.

Lightwood Games has unveiled Daily Word Bingo 1.0, a word game for iOS devices. Featuring a new theme each day, users face a 60-second clock and compete to see who can get the highest score on daily leaderboards. The aim of the game is to think of words beginning with each letter of the alphabet within a given subject. The game is scored using a bingo card, with each of the 25 squares revealing a different letter. Daily Word Bingo 1.0 is free; it’s supported by in-game advertising, which can be removed via in-app purchase.

Digifilm has introduced Dirty Hip Hop mini 1.0 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Featuring popular hip hop dance moves taught by Syndee M. Winters and Phil Turay this is a $1.99 dance and workout app.

Mayan Software has launched Bubble Breaker : Insanely Addictive 1.0 for iOS devices. The $0.99 game comes with three game modes, as well as customizable features.

Scribble Press has debuted Scribble Press 1.0 for the iPad. The free app lets you create a book on the Apple tablet.

Britton Mobile Development has presented Portfolio for iPhone 1.0, the pocket-sized counterpart to Portfolio for iPad. The $4.99 app is designed as a companion for photographers, designers, architects, sales reps, florists, artists, and any other visual profession. Portfolio for iPhone can be used as a portfolio, a pose reference, a catalog, an art book and more.

d-Studio team has given us Letters App for the iPad. The free lets children play with animal pictures and symbols, learn letters and numbers or have fun with 3D animated toys.

Meat Tree has served up SyncMeApp for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. A file transfer solution, the $0.99 app provides users with an utility that allows them to move almost any type of file they’d like from their Mac laptops or desktops straight onto their mobile iOS devices.

Tenacious Technology has offered up Play N Wish Merry XMas for the iPhone and iPod touch. A Christmas themed gaming extravaganza, this $4.99 app gives users access to four holiday themed mini-games where they compete to earn points that can be traded in for Christmas cards.

TheDataManager has cooked up Raghavan’s Indian Flavors 1.0, the latest in the series of TheInformedChef cookbook apps for the iPad. The $9.99 app features Indian cooking educator and cookbook author Raghavan Iyer and features 25 new recipes and over 75 how-to videos.

Anawiki Games has grown The Perfect Tree for iPad, a Christmas-themed Match-3 title. Based on the classic Christmas tale of the same name, the free game tells the story of a lonely little pine tree and the player’s efforts to help it become the perfect Christmas tree. Players can dress their own Christmas tree using over 100 decorations.

Nevosoft has conjured up Lord of the Runes, a free game in which you play a wizard who faces a long and difficult road filled with hideous, dangerous creatures that will challenge you every step of the way. Simply draw a rune to cast a spell.
