Toon-FX has released ToonPHOTO, a desktop version of their smart-painting application. It requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or higher, costs US$9.99 and is available exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Entertainment category.
It’s a standalone app that allows you to create cartoons with your own photos. Import a photo and ToonPAINT creates a sketch of the photo. Click the color button and you’re done.
The app expands on the Toon-FX iPhone app ToonPAINT by allowing you to process full size images. There’s no size limit on the images you can process.
