After two years of design and development, Canada Type (http://www.canadatype.com/) — an independent type development studio based in Toronto –has released the Roma suite of fonts by Oregon-based, award-winning type designer and graphic artist Thomas Lincoln.

Following his studies at Portland’s Museum Art School and Reed College, as well as New York’s School of Visual Arts, Thomas Lincoln has had a long and illustrious career that spanned both coasts of the US. He worked with and studied under ad pioneers and corporate design experts such as Herb Lubalin and Milton Glaser. His typeface Lincoln Gothic was a winner in VGC’s 1965 National Typeface Competition. He also won a Gold Medal, Best of Show, from the Boston Art Director’s Club in 1972, and in 1973 was given an Award of Merit from Typomundos Internationale in Paris, France.
