Toronto based training developer, Infinite Skills, has announced a targeted Mac tutorial video series to help users learn Outlook 2011. The three-hour course includes 48 separate lessons covering the program’s core email, scheduling and notes functionality.

The Outlook 2011 tutorials go through the basics of the Outlook user interface, as well as email essentials, advanced tips and filter settings and the program’s range of appointment, meeting and notes functionality, says Colin Boyd, sales director of Infinite Skills. The 48-tutorial training package is led by professional software trainer, Guy Vaccaro, and includes lessons on topics ranging from message filtering to setting custom tasks, alerts and appointments.

After familiarizing viewers with the basics of the Outlook user interface, Vaccaro goes through the primary points of Outlook configuration and customization, helping users import their contacts and data from other applications and set up Outlook to send and receive messages using their existing email accounts. Next, the Outlook 2011 tutorials go through email essentials, advanced tips and filter settings and then the program’s range of appointment, meeting and notes functionality.

The tutorials utilize a real-time video presentation format that shows techniques and tasks performed within the Outlook 2011 interface, with a built-in set of playback controls that allow the viewer to pause, rewind or fast-forward through the training at any point. While the course is organized into logical classroom-style sections, lessons may also be viewed independently in any order desired.

The Outlook 2011 For Mac Tutorial Video series (http://macte.ch/RN4jD) can be ordered on a cross-platform compatible DVD-ROM or purchased as an instant download from the Infinite Skills training page. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the tutorial is US$99.95 for both formats, and it is available to customers worldwide.
