Prophetic Sky has announced Spires HD 1.0, an US$2.99 tower defense game for the iPad. It pits you against a force of invaders bent on razing the land for a new order. Spires HD has a total of 30 playable levels.

Justin Hackett has released iRein 1.0 for iOS devices. The $1.99 app features the same maneuver descriptions and detailed pattern graphics found in the 2011 NRHA handbook. It’s designed for spectators who enjoy watching the sport of reining, but need to understand and follow along with the patterns they are watching.

MF Software has introduced iStockPicks 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The app allows you to setup lists of your favorite stocks, and it will do technical analysis on historical stock price movements to generate Buy/Sell/Neutral ratings. Once you get a recommendation for a stock, you can tap the recommendation to get more detailed data and analysis, as well as three-month technical charts for that ticker. iStockPicks is free, but additional Recommendation Credits are available for purchase in-app.

Simply Dusty Apps has launched My Wedding Colors 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $1.999 app lets you choose a color theme for a wedding. Themes can be created from over 650 colors categorized by shades, seasons, themes, and even user-selected favorites.

Rodeo Games has debuted Hunters: Episode One for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It’s a science fiction, turn-based strategy game. Hunters: Episode One sees players take on the role of the captain of an elite team of bounty hunters, being offered a variety of unique contracts every day. Hunters: Episode One 1.02 is free to download and play until your Hunters reach experience level two; the game can then be unlocked via in app purchase for $4.99 on the iPhone/iPod touch and $7.99 on the iPad.

Monster Mobile has unleashed Monster Free Apps 1.0 for iOS. The free app provides users daily push notifications of paid apps that are temporarily available from the Apple App Store for free. All apps are full versions, not demos.

Tribal Nova has served up iLearnWith the Mighty Jungle: Animals! HD 1.0, its first iPad app in the iLearnWith educational program. This educational game lets kids learn animal facts such as animal physical appearance, size, living environment, eating and sleeping habits. The retail price is $2.99 with a special launch price of $0.99 through March 22. For a limited time, iLearnWith the Mighty Jungle: Animals! HD 1.0 is on sale for $0.99.

MonkeyBin Studios has rolled out JumpShip Thrust Control, a new game for iOS devices.The free app features a proton class fighter. Now, inside the tunnels of a large asteroid, with the auto-leveling gyro broken, a gamer has to use the thrusters manually.

Time Warner Cable has developed the TWCable TV app for the iPad, allowing video customers to stream live linear television to the device at no additional charge. This free feature gives Standard (Expanded Basic) and higher video customers with Roadrunner or Earthlink Cable Internet service the ability to watch many of our most popular national channels to which they already subscribe, in HD on their iPads anywhere within their own home. Customers can navigate on their iPads with the aid of a mini- guide within their wireless home network.

Finance Logix has created a new, free, interactive retirement planning application for the iPhone. It uses innovative sliders and charts to forecast an individual’s retirement situation via a touch-screen graphical user interface.

Text Transmuter 1.0 is a new, free learning tool for iOS that turns a text message into an animated stream. It does it by changing the characters’ shapes and morphing them as they are being displayed, one after another.

DigitalNG has announced TheWOPE The Weapons of Planet Earth Handguns Edition 1.0.2 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The $2.99 app offers photos, 47 fields of specs and other features for more than 1,800 modern handguns.

Victor Alonso has updated Measure Map for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users to version 1.2. It’s a $1.99 tool for measuring distances, as small as one meter to as large as thousands of miles, with the curvature of the earth’s surface factored in. The app uses Google Maps for the background display and results are shown on top. Users can select color and thickness of the perimeter line as well as color and transparency of the selected area.

SellYourMac has released iJew Mobile 1.2 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The $0.99 application provides the Jewish community with a resource for finding nearby Jewish locations using GPS locating, reading and reciting blessings in three formats, lighting four types of candles and using the app’s interactive Jewish calendar. iJew Mobile also supplies links and other information regarding the Jewish faith and sends holiday start notifications to iOS4 users.

The Logic Factory has updated Ascendancy 2.17.2, their sci-fi strategy game for iOS devices, to version 2.17.2. Improvements include Long Range Ship Movement, allowing players to issue orders to multiple ships across multiple star systems. Additional upgrades include over 30 other interface touches, minor bug fixes, and more. To celebrate this new content, Ascendancy has been discounted temporarily to a price of US$4.99.

Big Stone Phone has launched Twittelator for iPad 1.7, an update to its $4.99 Twitter client. Dna Dezign has updated Mannequin Me! 1.1 for iPhone and iPod touch devices to version 1.1. In the $0.99 app, you take a picture of a compatible mannequin, cut out its clothes, select a matching picture of yourself, and then use the provided tools to overlay the items onto your picture.

Bare Bones Software has rolled out Yojimbo for iPad 1.0.3, an update to the $9.99 companion app to Yojimbo 3, the information organizer for the Mac. Yojimbo for iPad 1.0.3 is a maintenance update that includes fixes for reported pairing and synchronization issues.

Blue Whale Web Solutions has introduced updates to the Motion Doctor iPad app. Built with Conshohocken Physical Therapy, a practice located outside of Philadelphia, the $14.99 app is a video-enabled reference tool for consumers, patients and physical therapy practitioners.

James Hollender has updated iCarbs for iOS to version 1.8. The $1.99 app allows users to find out how many carbohydrates are in over 1,100 different food servings.
