Vaughn S. Cordero of VSC/Macsupport has released 4.0 of MobileSyncBrowser (http://mobilesyncbrowser.com/), an iPhone backup browsing utility. The upgrade adds compatibility with iOS 4.0 and iTunes 9.2, support for MMS previews and has been enhanced to provide easier navigation, better performance and enhanced stability.

Users can download and try out MSB for free; previews and exports are limited until a registration key is purchased. Classic and Plus keys can be purchased online for US$10 and US$20.

Koingo Software has released Amnesia 1.5 (http://www.koingosw.com/products/amnesia.php )for Mac OS X. Amnesia performs a smart scan to determine all related files to be removed. The app now uses a threaded process to search for apps with Spotlight and now performs an internal consistency check before allowing the application to launch.

With Amnesia, you can uninstall applications, preference panes, screen savers, and Dashboard widgets, as well as all their related files. In addition, turn on a secure deletion option to prevent recovery of the removed files.

Zarra Studios (http://www.zarrastudios.com) has released iWeb Buddy 1.5.2, an update of the post processor application for iWeb, the web creation component of iLife. The “buddy app” is designed to bring additional functionality to iWeb.

Version 1.5.2 fixes several issues relating to updating sites hosted on MobileMe. There are also general enhancements to the stability of file uploads and downloads.

Limit Point Software has updated AddMovie (http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities/AddMovie.html), a tool for combining multiple movies or images into a single movie and batch exporting movies to any format supported by QuickTime, to version 1.8.4.

When saving exporter settings in Preferences, if the selected exporter’s settings have not been changed then the default settings for that component will be saved. This way you can easily restore the default settings for that component after a change.

Synium Software has released iFinance 3.2.0 (http://www.synium.de/products/ifinance/index.html), an update of the personal finance app for Mac OS X 10.5 and higher. The update now launches as a 64-bit application.

Also, you can now print on checks and bank transfer receipts. With version 3.2.0, you can freely select where to store your databases and use a new, unified data selection control.

iFinance is priced at $29 for new users. Updates from iFinance 1.x or 2.x or iFinance 3 Public Beta are free of charge.
