MarsEdit for Mac OS X updated to version 3.0.5

Red Sweater Software has updated MarsEdit (http://www.red-sweater.com/marsedit), weblog publishing software, to version 3.0.5. It’s a maintenance update with some performance tweaks and bug fixes.

MarsEdit costs US$29.95; upgrades from previous versions are $9.95 (though version 3.0.5 is a free update for registered users of version 3.x). A 30-day demo copy is available from Red Sweater Software. MarsEdit 2 requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher; it’s Universal Binary so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.

 App4mac updates Giddy Up for Mac OS X

App4mac has introduced Giddy Up 1.0.3 (http://www.app4mac.com/giddyup.html), an update of the web browser designed for kids. Mostly used by schools, it can also be used at home for all children of a family. The new version tweaks the interface and fixes some bugs.

Giddy Up — built with the Apple Safari Engine also named WebKit — allows you to restrict access to some web sites, the operating system, system settings, the downloading of files and applications. It was developed with the intention to add maximum security and protection for kids, according to the folks at App4Mac.
