Tekserve, New York City’s largest independent Apple specialist, will hold a day of workshops supporting retail businesses.
The event will be held on Sept. 30 at Tekserve’s Manhattan retail location. It is the latest in their ongoing program, Tekserve Means Business, aimed at small- and medium-sized business and focusing on practical, affordable productivity and security solutions from Tekserve and Apple.

Apple has released version 1.2 updates to its three iWork apps for the iPad: Pages, Numbers and Keynote. They’re available at the Apple App Store.
According to Apple, the updates offer improvements to file-format support and file transferring, add the ability to transfer files to and from remote servers and beef up support for exporting files in Microsoft Office-compatible file formats. They also support transferring documents to and from iDisk, a feature of Apple’s MobileMe US$99-per-year suite of online services/tools.
