Remote Buddy update adds iTunes 10 support

Iospirit has updated Remote Buddy (http://www.iospirit.com/remotebuddy), Mac OS X software for controlling Macs remotely, to version 1.16.5. The upgrade adds support for iTunes 10 and Manta TR-1 receivers.

Also, Remote Buddy users running Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”) can now create and control audio, video and screen recordings in QuickTime Player X using their remote control. All drivers included in Remote Buddy now come in versions for 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

DropDMG for Mac OS X updated to version 3.0.3

DropDMG 3.0 (http://c-command.com/dropdmg/) — a new version of the tool for creating Mac OS X disk images — is now available. It’s a maintenance upgrade with some bug fixes.

DropDMG works with Mac OS X 10.5 or later. Version 3.x costs US$24; it’s a $12 upgrade for registered users of previous versions. Version 3.0.3 is a free upgrade for registered users of version 3.x.

Econ Technologies (http://www.econtechnologies.com) has updated ChronoSync to version 4.1.1. The upgrade adds a customizable toolbar.

ChronoSync is an automated synchronization and backup application for Mac OS X. It runs natively on both Power PC and Intel-based Macs running Mac OS X 10.4 and higher. Demos are available for download. For new users ChronoSync costs US$40. As always, all existing ChronoSync users can update for free.

BoinxTV update for Mac OS X adds new templates

Boinx Software has updated BoinxTV, a live‐production software for video podcasters that turns any recent Mac into a TV studio, to version 1.6. The new “Conference Recording” template comes complete with new layers for creating customizable opening credits, placing a source in an area defined by four arbitrary screen points, automatic crawls, sidebar options and an iPhone demo layer complete with iPhone 4 artwork.

The new template simplifies presentation preparation. In addition, the Axis camera layer now supports Mac OS X 10.5.8.
