Why no backlit keyboard on the new MacBook Airs?

Maybe it was to preserve battery life, but there’s no backlit keyboard on the new MacBook Airs. I think that’s a mistake on Apple’s part.

I’ve always found the backlit keyboard one of the most useful feature on the Apple laptops I’ve purchased. Apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks so. iPhone/iPod/iPad apps for Oct. 21

Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find ’em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

EA Mobile has announced that Reckless Racing for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is available on the Apple App Store. The game is based on the original top-down racer developed by Sweden-based Pixelbite. The iPad is costs US$4.99, and the iPhone/iPod touch is $2.99.

MadFinger Games has released Samurai II: Vengeance ($2.99), a hack-and-slash action game for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

Clio launches Apple in Law Firms Survey

Clio has launched the inaugural Clio Apple in Law Firms Survey. All legal professionals and law students from all law firms and law schools are invited to participate in the survey, regardless of size and location.

The survey aims to determine to what extent lawyers and law students are now using Apple and Mac products, and whether there is clear evidence of an increasing trend of the legal industry “going Mac” in the future.
