AudioCopy/AudioPaste SDK helps iOS apps share audio

Sonoma Wire Work has released the AudioCopy/AudioPaste Software Development Kit 1.2 for iOS audio app developers. Apps that support AudioCopy/AudioPaste now include a pasteboard history of up to 12 items with audio previews.

Users can make up to 12 copies of audio, then launch an AudioPaste app, and paste from any of those 12 copies. The AudioCopy/AudioPaste pasteboard includes meta data such as tempo, file format, name of app copied from, duration, and more.

Apple countersues Motorola for patent infringement

Another day, another lawsuit. Apple has sued Motorola, alleging that the company’s smartphone lineup and the operating software it uses infringe on the iPhone-maker’s intellectual property, reports the “Wall Street Journal” (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703414504575584761714573610.html?ru=yahoo&mod=yahoo_hs&mg=com-wsj).

The two lawsuits came after Motorola sued Apple in October for patent infringement. Motorola claims that Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and certain Mac computers infringe Motorola patents.

Apple releases iPhoto ’11, version 9.0.1

Apple has released iPhoto ’11, version 9.01. It addresses issues that, in extremely rare cases, could result in data loss when upgrading a library from an earlier version of iPhoto.

The upgrade is 35.4MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.3 or later. You can obtain it via the Software Update component of Mac OS X’s Systems Preferences app.
