LaCie announces USB 3.0 FastKey drive

LaCie (http://www.lacie.com) has announces the FastKey, which it says is the smallest USB 3.0 drive around. It’s backward compatible with USB 2.0, which is good for Mac users as Apple hasn’t added support for USB 3.0.

The FastKey packs 30GB to 120MB of storage into a 2.5-inch solid state drive, with pricing starting at US$149.99. It also includes software AES 256-bit encryption.

Apple updates Safari

Apple has released Safari 5.0.3 and Safari 4.1.3, updates of its web browser for Mac OS X and Windows.



The updates fix security-related glitches. On the Mac, you can obtain the update via the Software Updates component of the Systems Preferences app.
