Pragmatic Bookshelf announces ‘beta’ version of iPad programming book

Pragmatic Bookshelf has released a “beta” version of “iPad Programming: A Quick-Start Guide for iPhone Developers” (http://macosg.me/2/33). As you might guess from the title, it shows iPhone developers how to build apps specifically for the iPad. The final version will be US$34.

It’s not for beginners (for beginners should check out “Beginning Mac Programming,” also $34)). This book jumps right in and shows busy developers just what they need to know since the iPad is a different beast, according to the folks at Pragmatic Bookshelf.

The MacJury weighs in on the iPad

After spending the weekend working with their brand new iPads, a panel of MacJurors (http://www.macjury.com) convened to discuss their experiences and opinions on the Apple’s latest mobile device.

The group share their first impressions, some app picks, and opinions on all things iPad, including weight, battery life, intended vs. actual uses, app picks and prices, pixel doubling, virtual and BlueTooth keyboards, the rapidly evolving iPad interface, Apple’s apps, cases, docks, and a whole lot more.
