Another day, another lawsuit. Apple, HTC and Research in Motion are being sued by St. Clair Intellectual Property Consultants (http://stclairipc.com/) for allegedly violating six US patents, reports “Bloomberg” (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-11-17/apple-htc-corp-research-in-motion-sued-over-u-s-patents.html?cmpid=yhoo).

St. Clair says the defendants are using the protected inventions in their smartphones and tablets without permission. The suit was filed yesterday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware.

The defendants “have acted objectively and subjectively reckless in implementing technology” that they “should have reasonably known would infringe” the patents, St. Clair lawyers alleged. They asked for a jury trial and unspecified damages, notes “Bloomberg.”
