Mariner Software has updated MacGourmet Deluxe (http://macgourmet.com/), its recipe and cooking software for Mac OS X, to version 3.0. The new version offers an entirely reworked user interface, as well as significant feature additions and updates which include an all new Recipe Import Assistant, Chef View and Shopping List functionality.

MacGourmet Deluxe 3.0 combines recipe and wine collection with simplified organization. Users will be able to create, edit and share recipes; make wine and cooking notes, and with the new Recipe Import Assistant, import recipes found on the web and expand their collection.

Recipes can be published to a MobileMe account or to a personal Web site and are now easily organized with steps enabling the user to add images, labels and highlighting. The latest version of MacGourmet Deluxe includes 150 hand-picked recipes that can be added to an existing collection, printed or shared in a cookbook.

A new Chef View with speech recognition, Apple Remote support and text speaking support, allows users to bring MacGourmet Deluxe into the kitchen. MacGourmet Deluxe 3.0 also introduces new themes and other visual enhancements that allows the user to customize the look of their copy of the app.


MacGourmet Deluxe 3.0 is now available for sale and for trial as a download only from the Mariner Software website and will sell for US$49.95. A boxed version of MacGourmet Deluxe 3.0 will be available in the near future. Current registered MacGourmet Deluxe users can purchase the upgrade version for $24.95. MacGourmet Deluxe 3.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher.
