Canon introduces new digital cameras, photo printer

Canon USA (http://www.usa.canon.com) has announced three new high-performance PowerShot cameras — the PowerShot S95, the SD4500 IS and the SX130 IS Digital cameras — and a new photo printer.

These cameras sport Canon’s HS (High Sensitivity) System for improved low-light shooting in the S95 and SD4500 IS cameras, High Definition (HD) video recording, High Dynamic Range (HDR) in the S95 camera and a more intelligent Smart AUTO mode, among a range of others. Scheduled to be available late August, the S95 camera retails for an estimated price of US$399.99. Due in early September, the SD4500 IS camera retails for $349.99. Scheduled to be available late August, the SX130 IS camera retails for $249.99.

The new Selphy CP800 Compact Photo Printer features a new tilt LCD screen in addition to a new Shuffle feature. It prints a 4 x 6-inch, high-quality photo in approximately 47 seconds that’s purportedly capable of lasting up to 100 years.

Users can also print photos without connecting to a computer by printing directly from compatible memory cards or using the PictBridge connection.The estimated selling price of the Selphy CP800 Compact Photo Printer is $99.99; it will be available in both black and white colors.
