QNAP Systems has released the QMobile app for the Pad, iPhone, and iPod touch and the new V3.3 NAS management utility update. The free app, when used in conjunction with a QNAP Turbo NAS server and the V3.3 update, allows users to stream music, digital pictures, and videos from their home NAS server and play directly on the iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch from anywhere, using Wi-Fi or 3G networks.

Aquafadas has introduced It’s a Girl and It’s a Boy for the iPhone and iPod touch. The apps — which cost US$0.99 each – are for accessing and showing your children’s pictures in an innovative way.

Villain has unleashed Archetype, an online multiplayer first-person shooter game for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $2.99 app offers multiplayer deathmatches with teams, experience points, and player ranks.

Ideateca has introduced iBasket Free for the iPhone and iPod touch. The free app is a single player game “with thoroughly elaborated physics engine that guarantees to users experience similar to the real basketball game.”

The $2.99 iSpy Phonics app, developed in conjunction with a British speech and language therapist, helps children learn the first building blocks of reading — fast. The latest version (1.1_ enables children to match phonic sounds with letters, through colorful illustrations, pictures and accurate pronunciation, all while playing the age old game of I Spy.
