SONiVOX (http://www.SONiVOXmi.com) has released the latest version of
their downloadable virtual instrument plug-ins. These plug-ins,
branded as DVI 2.0 (which stands for Downloadable Virtual
Instruments), give musicians and composers access to a large
collection of sample based virtual instruments for Macs and PCs.

DVI 2.0 adds features in addition to offering deeper control over
SONiVOX’s next generation of in-house developed synthesis engine
technology. It also includes additional DSP / Special FX by renowned
signal processing pioneers and manufacturer, iZotope.

AKVIS Software has released AKVIS Retoucher plug-in version 3.5
(http://akvis.com/en/retoucher/price-image-restoration.php)for Mac
and Windows systems. The US$87 plug-in allows restoring damages
photos by removing dust, scratches, stains, and by reconstructing the
missing parts of a photo.

The new version fixes bugs and improves compatibility with the
newest versions of Photoshop CS3, CS4 on Macs and PCs. The upgrade is
free for registered users.

FileMaker authors John Mark Osborne and Steven Blackwell are teaching
the new “FileMaker Training Series (FTS)” and the “Philosophy of
Scripting for FileMaker Pro 10” in San Jose, California.

The “FileMaker Training Series” dates are Jun 1-5. The “Philosophy of
Scripting” dates: are June 8-12.

“The FileMaker Training Series” is the official training curriculum
from FileMaker, Inc. It offers a series of 12 training modules that
cover a set of topics designed to help participants master the
essentials of FileMaker solution development.

Griffin Technology (http://www.griffintechnology.com) has announced
the availability of the first of their spring lineup of cases for
iPod and iPhone.

Virtual Programming (http://www.vpltd.com) has
announced two new games for the Mac and other
systems that are scheduled for release throughout
2009: Hearts of Iron 3 and The Elven Legacy.
Pricing and release dates haven’t been announced.
