RadTech (http://www.radtech.com) has released ClearCal AG
(anti-glare) films for Apple’s new 21-inch and 27-inch iMacs. The
company says they greatly improve the viewability of glossy glass
displays when used in brightly lit or outdoor environments.
ClearCal films — which cost US$19.99 — combine a tempered 2-mil
matte finished, anti-reflection layer, permanently laminated to a
3-mil flexible transparent base.
Axiotron today released the second beta version of its handwriting
recognition application, Quickscript. The takeaway: Quickscript now
supports Mac OS X version 10.6 (Snow Leopard) in addition to 10.5
(Leopard)! Other enhancements include improved Chinese character
recognition and persistent writing pad settings.
Quickscript offers handwriting recognition in 26 languages to Mac
users with pen tablet devices and users of Axiotron’s Modbook.
Be.ez (http://www.be-ez.com) has released the LA garde robe bag for
the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the MacBook. It can be bought
individually for $34.95 starting Dec. 10 or with a LA robe sleeve to
complete the set for $49.95 starting in February 2010.
