Boris FX (http://www.borisfx.com), a developer of integrated effects
technology for video and film, has updated Boris Continuum Complete 6
FxPlug (BCC 6 FxPlug) for Apple Pro Video Applications to version
6.0.4. It’s revved for Final Cut Studio 3 and introduces support for
Final Cut Pro 7 and Apple Motion 4.

Other new features include a revamped Optical Stabilizer for Final
Cut Pro with automated scaling and an interactive user interface. BCC
6 FxPlug brings over 200 filters to Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, and
Final Cut Express.

The Coding Monkeys have updated SubEthaEdit
(http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/), a text editor for Mac OS
X, to version 3.5. The upgrade adds support for code folding, which
lets you hide text or source code to better concentrate on the task
at hand.

SubEthaEdit 3.5 also adds document state persistence. The app now
remembers window positions, sizes, cursor positions, etc.

SubEthaEdit’s tabbed window interface helps to reduce window clutter
by grouping documents in a single window with a tab bar, according to
the Coding Monkeys.

Yenco has released Agenda 4.0.9 (ttp://www.yenco.com/agenda/), an
update of the Mac OS X (10.4 and higher) app that keeps track of your
events and tasks, lets you enter your thoughts, and create calendar
or journal web sites. The upgrade adds the ability to set the name of
the directory folder when creating a calendar or journal web site
with the iEvents feature and includes updated help content.

It’s also built on the new Framework 2.0.5 project, which has
improved database code for more reliable performance. Agenda 4 is a
shareware application.

QNAP Systems (http://www.qnap.com) has expanded its Turbo NAS line-up
with a pair of new NAS servers for the corporate and entry-level
enterprise market. The new TS-439U-RP and TS-439U-SP models are both
4-drive, 1U rack mounted NAS servers with hot-swappable drives that
are capable of up to 8TB total capacity using 2TB drives.

The newly-designed HDD tray for 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDD dual
support is also equipped in these two models, which gives users more
choices to deploy the hard drives.

Sennheiser Communications (http://www.sennheiserusa.com) has released
the US$169.95 PC 300 G4ME headset. The tiny, portable headset is
designed for people who love gaming, chatting, listening to music and
watching movies on their laptops and portable media players.

It utilizes capsules from Sennheiser’s CX 300-II ear-canal phones.
The PC 300 G4ME includes a Sennheiser microphone, an in-line volume
control and three sizes of soft silicone sleeves.

The headset uses two 3.5 mm plugs to connect to computers: one for
the headphones and the other for the microphone.
