Quirky releases PowerCurl for Apple’s MagSafe power adapter

Quirky (http://www.quirky.com) has released PowerCurl, an US$7.25,
clip-on cord wrap for Apple’s 60W and 85W MagSafe power adapters. It
wraps both cords (plug end and MagSafe end) around the device and
allows for easy and quick cord wrapping.

The included clip enables the plug end of your cord to clip to itself
just like your MagSafe end does. Also, PowerCurl elevates the power
adapter off the ground or desk for better air circulation and cooling.

OWC announces Mercury On-The-Go Pro solid state portable

Other World Computing (OWC) has announced its new
OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro SSD models, which the
company says are the lowest cost portable
FireWire 800/400 and USB 2.0 bus powered Solid
State Drive (SSD) storage solutions on the market.

The Mercury On-The-Go Pro is a pocket-sized
portable storage solution for Mac or PC users
featuring FireWire 800, FireWire 400, and/or USB
2.0 interfaces for data transfer speeds up to
100MB/second. According to OWC CEO Larry
O’Conner, it offers up to 2.5X faster boot time
and up to 120X faster seek time over conventional
drives.

RapidWeaver ready for Snow Leopard

Realmac Software (http://www.realmacsoftware.com) has updated
RapidWeaver, its web site creation application for Mac OS X, to
version 4.3. It adds Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”) compatibility.

RapidWeaver 4.3 is a free upgrade for registered users of RapidWeaver
3.6 and higher. A new license is US$79. Users of RapidWeaver 3.5 or
earlier can upgrade for $30.

RapidWeaver 4.2.3 is available to download and buy from today in
English, French, German, Italian, and Japanese. Family packs and site
licenses are also available.

Zevrix updates LinkOptimizer for InDesign, adds Snow Leopard

Zevrix Solutions (http://zevrix.com) has released version 4.1 of
LinkOptimizer, an upgrade to the workflow automation solution to
optimize InDesign jobs. The new version introduces compatibility with
Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”) and addresses several performance and
stability issues related to InDesign clipping paths, link status and
international system support.

LinkOptimizer 4.1 can be purchased from the Zevrix Solutions web site
for US$219.95. Upgrades from previous versions are $87.95 (though
users of version 4.0 can upgrade for free).
