HP Launches New Home Server with Enhanced Features for PCs and Macs
HP today launched the HP MediaSmart EX490 and EX495 Home Servers, new
models offering increased capacity, high-performance processors, more
control, new user interface and additional Mac support — all at a lower
price.
Based on the Microsoft Windows Home Server platform, the updated HP
MediaSmart Servers have a refined user interface and a web-based home page
that makes accessing and using the server easier than ever.
MonkeyBread Software releases the MBS REALbasic plug-ins in version 9.6
Monkeybread Software has released version 9.6 of the MBS plug-in for
REALbasic. The MBS plug-in comprises a collection of several plug-in parts
which extend the REALbasic development environment with 1,200 classes
featuring over 26,000 documented functions.
The plug-ins require REALbasic 2006r4 or newer. Also required are 500MB
hard disc space and around 64MB of RAM in addition to the requirements of
REALbasic and your operation system itself.
Vuzix announces Wrap 310 widescreen video eyewear
Vuzix (http://www.vuzix.com) has announced the Wrap 310, widescreen video
eyewear that sports twin high-resolution video displays. It can project a
55-inch screen and includes removable noise isolating earphones. It’s
coming this fall; pricing hasn’t been announced.
Powered for up to six hours on two AA batteries, the Wrap 310 will accept
video from almost any video player, including the iPod and iPhone.
Mobistar launches HD mobile television on iPhone 3G and 3GS
Mobistar says it’s is the first operator in Belgium to launch HD (high
definition) technology for mobile television on the iPhone 3G and 3GS.
Mobistar is also expanding its mobile television range in a partnership
with public broadcasting companies VRT and RTBF.
A new iPhone portal will give Mobistar customers the opportunity to read
the VRT and RTBF news or watch RTBF streaming videos on their 3G and 3GS
iPhones.
