Hostel Hero (http://www.hostelhero.com/) is a new app that lets you
book backpacker hostels and budget hotels straight from your iPhone
or iPod touch. It offers access to more than 19,000 hostels and
budget hotels. It’s free and is available at the Apple App Store.
Hostel Hero lets you research and book hostels/budget hotels whenever
and wherever you want. It makes use of the iPhone/iPod touch’s local
storage, giving you offline access to many features. You can download
and save the details of all properties in your chosen countries, then
view them even when you don’t have an Internet connection.
All the details of your reservations are also saved to the device.
Hostel Hero integrates with email, phone dialing (on the iPhone not
the iPod touch), and Google Maps (even street view and driving
directions).
