JMR Electronics (http://www.jmr.com), a provider of scalable storage
systems for video and data intensive applications, will showcase
their new line of BlueStor PeSAN RAID storage solutions at the 2008
DV Expo in Los Angeles, Nov. 5-6.

Also being unveiled at the JMR booth will be the company’s newest
BlueStor 888 desktop storage subsystem: an 8-bay SAS/SATA JBOD (RAID
optional) or all-in-one server, with SFF-8088 mini-SAS host
connectivity.

Western Digital (http://www.westerndigital.com) has added a
high-speed FireWire 800 interface to its My Passport Studio portable
drive. With FireWire 800/400 and USB interfaces, the new My Passport
Studio portable drives offer up to 500GB of storage capacity, are
formatted for Mac computers and weigh less than seven ounces.

A built-in, illuminated capacity gauge tells users how much space is
available in the drive and, because it’s powered by the FireWire or
USB connection, it’s truly portable.

Sonic Lighter’s special presidential election edition, Sonic Red and
Sonic Blue (http://www.smule.com/products/) are now available
through the Apple Apple Store for US$0.99 each — or as a free
upgrade if Sonic Lighter is already on your iPhone.

With Sonic Blue, Obama supporters will be able to fire up a flame
“they can believe in” and McCain supporters can “unleash their inner
Mavericks with the Sonic Red.” Smule provides iPhone users the
ability to view, in real-time, whose flame is more prevalent in
different parts of the world.

Several months ago NELiX TransaX (http://www.nelixtransax.com)
released the NELiX TransaX FleXPort Toolkit and now it’s released the
TransaX FleXPort.

The Toolkit contains documentation and a suite of examples to assist
developers with integrating payment processing (credit card and ACH
acceptance) within the applications they build.
With the release of NELiX TransaX FleXPort 2.0, NELiX TransaX has
added FileMaker support, according to Vice President Adam O’Hare. The
tool now comes with documentation and examples for FileMaker
integration.

Ramjet (http://www.ramjet.com) now offers the ability to upgrade the
new aluminum MacBook and the black bezel MacBook Pro to 6GB. The
company offers a 4GB SO-DIMM single module for US$599.

This 4GB module can be installed along with a 2GB module ($75) to
reach the system maximum of 6GB, These modules are fully compatible
with the latest Apple firmware, and are SPD configured for the
MacBook and MacBook Pro. These Ramjet 4Gig SO-DIMM single modules are
