LaCie, Samsung collaborate on 1.3″ hard drives

LaCie and Samsung today announced the end results of their collaboration in implementing 1.3-inch hard disk technology for LaCie micro storage devices.  Available in 30GB or 40GB versions, LaCie will be offering its smallest Little Disk yet, as well as an update to the popular credit card sized USB Key Max. Aspyr Media today announced they will publish Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for Mac, a modern-day action-thriller that deploys players into heart-stopping battles across the world’s most treacherous hotspots. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare delivers high-definition graphics, 5.1 surround sound and a dynamic community-oriented multiplayer experience. Developed by Infinity Ward and licensed by Activision, the game is expected to be available for Mac in May 2008, and can be pre-ordered now for US$49.99.

Ambrosia presents Aquaria Demo at Macworld Expo

Ambrosia Software today announced that a fully playable demo of its anticipated game, Aquaria for Mac OS X, will be on hand at Macworld Expo 2008 in San Francisco. Developed by Bit-Blot, and winner of the 2007 Independent Games Festival’s Seumas McNally Grand Prize, Aquaria is a side-scrolling underwater action adventure game that uses an innovative and intuitive mouse control system. Aquaria will be a Universal Binary, compatible with Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs that meet the minimum system requirements, to be determined.
