Ecamm Network today announced the release of iPhoneDrive v1.4 (US$19.95), a Mac application which lets iPhone and iPod Touch users access iTunes media, iPhoto library, notes, and other data stored on the device. Files and folders can also be copied to the device for data storage and file transfer between Macs: new in v1.4: iPhoneDrive provides access to the iPhone’s call log and SMS text message history; the ability view and download photos taken with the iPhone’s camera; and more.

Amazon to acquire Audible for $300 million

Reuters reports that Amazon.com said on today that it reached an agreement to buy Audible.com for US$11.50 a share, in a deal that Amazon values at about $300 million, including Audible’s cash and short-term investments. “Under the agreement, Amazon will start a cash tender offer to purchase all of the outstanding shares of Audible, and will assume Audible’s outstanding stock-based awards. The pact includes Audible’s cash and short-term investments.
