LapWorks launches Attaché, Envoy laptop stands

LapWorks today announced two laptop stands — the Attaché and Envoy — that elevate PC and Mac laptop computers when working at a desk to improve viewing and typing ergonomics, and cool a laptop to extend its life. Each stand features two built-in fans for cooling, 4-port USB 2.0 hubs for connectivity, and push-button-operation for four elevation settings. FileMaker today announced the availability of certification testing for the award-winning FileMaker 9 product line. FileMaker 9 Certification helps developers gain recognition as a database industry expert. In addition to receiving a FileMaker 9 Certified Developer certificate, those who pass the test may use the FileMaker Certified Developer logo on business cards and marketing collateral. Members of the FileMaker Business Alliance who receive certification are listed as certified developers on the FileMaker Web site.

Apple posts Apple TV ‘Take Two’ update

As promised by Steve Jobs at Macworld Expo, Apple has released “Apple TV Take Two” via the units Software Update from the settings menu. “The major upgrade to the software that controls Apple’s TV convergence device offers a host of new features, such as the ability to purchase and download video and music directly from iTunes instead of having to use a Mac or PC first,” reports Macworld.
