LaCie (http://www.lacie.com) has announced the 4big Quadra, a
four-bay RAID solution for small servers, creative pro workstations
or offices that need large storage and backup capacity, peed and
advanced security. Offering capacities of up to 6TB (6000GB) and a

Area49 Software has released the ayePhone for iPhone
(http://www.area49.com/products/ayePhone/), which “gives users the
vicarious experience of being a pirate.” It’s available for US$0.99
at the Apple App Store.

“With International Talk Like a Pirate Day appoaching, we wanted to
give all iPhone users the ability to convincingly talk like a pirate

Intego says QuickTime bug discovered

Intego, which makes Internet security and privacy software, says
Apple’s QuickTime, the media software used to play music and movies
on Mac OS X and Windows, has recently been update to version 7.5.5,
but a serious bug has already been discovered that may be used as a
vector for malicious attacks.

Here’s what Intego has to say about it: “The “(? quicktime type= ?)”
tag fails to handle long strings, which can lead to a heap overflow
in QuickTime Player, iTunes, or any other program that attempts to
display media using a QuickTime plug-in.
