SmileOnMyMac (http://www.smileonmymac.com/) has updated TextExpander,
a Mac OS X utility that lets users define abbreviations for
frequently-used text strings and images, to version 2.5. The upgrade
adds date math; users can now create snippets that automatically add
or subtract years, months, and days from the current date.

Time math has also been added, supporting snippets that automatically
add or subtract hours, minutes or seconds from the current time. Two
built-in snippet groups were added to TextExpander 2.5. The Internet
Productivity snippet group includes AppleScripts that automatically
shorten URLs using online services such as TinyURL and others. The
Symbol snippet group features shortcuts for commonly used symbols
including copyright, trademark, euro, command, option and control.

The cost is US$29.95 for a single user license or $44.95 for a
five-pack family license. A 30-day fully-functioning demo of
TextExpander can be downloaded at the SmileOnMyMac web site.
