Xsilva Systems showed an updated version of LightSpeed 2.5 that uses a Cover Flow interface to make better use of touchscreen-enabled Mac point of sale stations. The updated LightSpeed 2.5, which will be released in late January, is compatible with touchscreen-enabled iMacs and Cinema Displays by TrollTouch. A version of LightSpeed due in February will allow users to park transactions on the POS and return to them later by selecting them in a Cover Flow view, as well as allow users to browse documents to settle unpaid balances, initiate returns and reprint receipts. A 30-day demo of LightSpeed 2.5 is available from the company’s site.
