REAL Software, a cross-platform development environment for Windows, Mac and Linux developers, has announced REALbasic 2008 Release 1 at Macworld Expo. The latest version will include introspection which has been the most highly requested feature from the user community in recent years. Introspection refers to the ability to examine something (an object) to determine what it is, what it knows, and what it is capable of doing. It enables the development of powerful dynamic programming features like serialization of object storing, remote method invocation for data sharing and data binding for consistency when data values change. The release will also contain 39 minor improvements and two additional language features. REALbasic 2008 Release 1 will be available for download in February.
