Mariner Software announces StoryMill 3.0

Mariner Software today announced their republishing agreement of the popular novel writing application, Avenir. The product will make its public debut with the introduction of the new title under the Mariner brand and major update, StoryMill 3.0, in January 2008. Described as part word processor, part database and offering a “timeline view” feature, StoryMill provides the tools writers need to manage the creative process from inception to publication. StoryMill 3.0 will be available, for sale and trial, in early January.

app4mac today announced the compatibility of all software and freeware with Mac OS X Leopard. All products are now fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and new features working only with Leopard will be added in the coming months. The company also announced that a new product is coming soon — Checkup 1.0, a utility to check your Mac. More details about this product will be available at the end of November and a beta version at the beginning of December. The final version is expected for Macworld San Francisco in mid-january.
