Soma Media and IDG World Expo today announced the release of MacworldEncore, the first suite of products enabling people to purchase Macworld Conference & Expo presentations online and on DVD-ROM. The first MacworldEncore DVD-ROM set features more than 80 presentations from January’s Conference and Expo in San Francisco. Each presentation includes full-screen PowerPoint slides, live demos and synchronized audio, searchable speaker bios and abstracts, and iPod and iPod video compatibility.

Black Cat Systems today announced that Audiocorder 5.0.0 has been released. This version adds native support for Intel Macs as a Universal Binary. Audiocorder allows your Mac to act as an audio recorder. In one mode, it operates as a volume operated (VOX) automated audio recorder. This allows you to set the volume that the sound must reach to begin recording, and the volume at which it should end recording.

TrueDisc burns damage-resistant optical discs

TrueDisc today introduced TrueDisc for Mac OS X, its archival-quality optical format. Files burned to disc with TrueDisc can sustain disc damage as high as 90% and still restore the original file. The company says files burned to disc with TrueDisc can sustain disc damage as high as 90% and still restore the original file. TrueDisc burns standard files to CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, and DVD+R Double Layer in a special damage-resistant format. These files, called “master copies,” can be read back off the disc by the TrueDisc software.

iStyles Spring 07 Designer Skin Collection released

iStyles today announced the availability of a new collection of designer Skins for the end of winter / start of spring collection. This new range feature works from cris01, honeyspy and psilocyber, which the company says represent “the mystic of winter and others, the vibrancy and colors of spring.” The new designs are mainly available for the iPod Video, iPod nano 2nd Generation and the Microsoft Zune.
