MacHeist launches final mission tonight

MacHeist is launching Mission 6 tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET. Visitors who complete this final heist will receive over US$50 worth of Mac software “loot.” In addition, three randomly selected people will win “Delicious Generation” T-shirts. MacHeist is a Mac software event involving “heists” for its visitors with free Mac applications as rewards for solving them. Since its inception late last year, MacHeist has managed to build up an active community of over 30,000 members.

Elgato releases EyeTV 2.4 with Apple TV support

Elgato Systems has released EyeTV 2.4, a free update to its award-winning EyeTV 2 software which now includes one click export for Apple TV. The feature functions in the same way as EyeTV 2’s easy iPod export button; simply select a video from the list of recordings and click the new Apple TV button in the menu bar. Alternatively, the export can be automated as part of the recording schedule.
