PageSender 4 update offers spam filtering

SmileOnMyMac has released PageSender 4, a new version of its fax software for Mac OS X. Major new features include spam filtering, PDF cover pages, direct lookup in Address Book, and fax preview. With fax spam filtering, PageSender 4 users will be able to block incoming faxes via a list of blocked station names. There are options to treat faxes with blank station names as spam and to hang up immediately when a spam fax is detected. PageSender 4 is priced at US$39.95 ($20 upgrade), and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Apple to open retail store in Friendswood, TX

Apple will open a new retail store at the Baybrook Mall on May 12, 2007. The Apple Store Baybrook, which is located at 500 Baybrook Mall, will open to the public on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. CT. As part of its usual Grand Opening celebrations, Apple will give away a free Apple t-shirt to the first 1,000 visitors. Aspyr Media today announced they will publish The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff for Mac, the second The Sims 2 stuff pack to be released for Mac, following the release of The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff last month. Aspyr also plans to release other The Sims 2 stuff packs in 2007, with The Sims 2 Happy Holiday Stuff in fall 2007. The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff, licensed by Electronic Arts and under development by Aspyr Studios, is expected to hit stores for Mac in June 2007.
