Gefen delivers component video with audio solutions

Gefen today announced three new products for component video sources and displays. All three include supplemental audio so HDTV viewing is fully enabled. Two new Component Audio to HDMI Adapters offer plug and play methods of intermixing different formats within the same HDTV system. In the ideal, they enable component video sources with either digital (TOSlink) or analog (RCA stereo) audio to be digitized and delivered in HDMI format.

Apple posts Mac OS X 10.4.10 Update

Apple has posted the Mac OS X 10.4.10 Update via its Software Update Pane and on the Web. The company says “this update is recommended for PowerPC and Intel-based Mac computers currently running Mac OS X Tiger. This update includes general operating system fixes, as well as specific fixes or compatibility updates for the following applications and technologies: RAW camera support; mounting and unmounting external USB devices; support for 3rd party software applications; and security updates.
