Apple posts iPod Reset Utility 1.0.2

Apple has posted iPod Reset Utility 1.0.2. The company notes: “Use iPod Reset Utility to restore the following iPod models back to their factory settings, when iTunes is unable to do so: iPod shuffle (1st Generation) and iPod shuffle (2nd Generation). The restore process completely erases all music and data on your iPod, and installs current iPod software on it.”

Changes in this release include: new Places Database containing more geographic locations, adding also the number of inhabitants; improved reliability when reading Gedcom files with malformed Note entries; and events shown on the Family Card, can be accessed again by jumping from one text box to another, using the “Tab”-Key. Live iPhone demo at the Portland Mac User Group
