Apple names new VP, general counsel

A report on AP today notes that Apple has name Daniel Cooperman as its new senior vice president, general counsel secretary. “Cooperman will assume his new positions Nov. 1, and will report to Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs. Cooperman replaces Donald Rosenberg, who is leaving the company. Cooperman joins Apple after serving in the same positions at application software provider Oracle Corp. Shares of Apple fell 94 cents to $153.56 in premarket trading.
