QuickLicense 2.1 for Windows and Mac OS X

October 1, 2007 – Excel Software is shipping QuickLicense 2.1 to manage
secure, flexible licensing of Windows and Macintosh software. The new
release adds Vista support for Windows, Universal Binary support for PPC
and Intel Mac OS X computers, a software subscription capability and a
batch email command for delivering subscription codes, product updates and
other customized messages to selected customers.

QuickLicense allows a developer to create time or execution limited Trial
editions of any software product.

Public Beta of MacFamilyTree 5 starts today

Synium Software GmbH today announced it has officially started the public beta test for MacFamilyTree 5 internationally, for all fans and users of the popular genealogy software. Interested users may download MacFamilyTree 5 Public Beta and try it out for themselves. The company advises, however, that being a public beta, the whole purpose of making prerelease software available is to track down whatever bugs and glitches may have been left in the code. So, crashes and even the loss of data cannot be completely ruled out.
