GT Security today announced the launch of SecuriKey 2.0, which features its integrated AES encryption and multi-factor authentication solution designed for the Mac. This combination of strong, two-factor authentication and AES data encryption provides total security for mobile data on MacBooks and PowerBooks and can be used to lock down important information on Mac desktops and servers, too. Analyst: ‘Leopard’ Q4 impact will be $240 million

According to a story today on CNN Money, analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray has estimated the financial impact of Apple’s Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard” release. “In a note to clients issued this morning, Munster observes that OS X Tiger, Leopard’s predecessor, was also released at the end of the first month of a fiscal quarter (April 29, 2005 vs. Oct. 26, 2007). At that time, the OS X installed base was 12 million and Tiger sales added US$125 million to the quarter.

PhotoVu announces new digital frame software

PhotoVu today announced the availability of their newest digital picture frame software release which includes a significant increase in the ability to display high resolution digital camera images, including the new 21.1 megapixel EOS-1Ds Mark III from Canon. The new software also contains many other new features and enhancements, most of which only are found in a PhotoVu digital picture frame.
