MacTech Labs today released an extensive benchmark study of virtualization solutions running on Intel-based Macs. MacTech’s goal was to see how well Parallels and VMware Fusion perform compared to each other, Boot Camp and a PC. The large suite of over 2,500 tests was performed comparing the a Fujitsu 1.86 GHz machine, MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac Pro. The purpose of the testing and the article are to answer the questions about performance for the different virtualization solutions available, as well as the differences between Windows XP and Vista in virtual machines. The article is published in the February 2008 issue of MacTech available on newsstands and through subscriptions. It’s also available online.
