Sig Software today announced the release of Classic Menu 2.8, the Apple Menu enhancement for Mac OS X. Classic Menu brings the classic Mac OS Apple Menu back to Mac OS X, replacing the system’s built-in Apple Menu but keeping it within easy reach. It uses no patches or hacks, and doesn’t interfere with system stability. Version 2.8 adds: full support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), integrating smoothly into the appearance of the new menu bar; adds custom ordering of menu items and separators, allowing the Apple Menu’s contents to be grouped and sorted according to the user’s preference.
